Helen Ruffin Interest Meeting

Attention all 4th and 5th grade students... this Friday will be our first meeting concerning the Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl.  Join us in the media center at 8:40 to find out more about this very exciting opportunity.  If you love to read and compete in a quiz bowl type format, this is the place for you!!  See you in the media center on Friday!

Olympic Readers!

It is an Olympic year at Liberty Elementary School's media center!  This year our theme is "Go for the Gold- READ!"  Just as Olympic athletes practice their skill on a daily basis in order to compete at an international level, students must practice reading every day in order to become better readers.  Developing better readers is a high priority at Liberty Elementary.  Please help us reach our goal by encouraging your child to read daily.  Together we can coach our Olympic readers to victory!

Rockin' Readers!

     Students who met their AR goals in grades K-5 enjoyed a Wii Dance Party today!  Everyone had a blast boogieing down with books and students are anxious to see what next year's AR parties hold.  Have a great summer and don't forget to keep reading!

2011-2012 LCSS Exemplary Library Media Program

On May 8, 2012, the Libery Elementary media program received the 2011-2012 Liberty County School System Exemplary Library Media Program Award.  Above is a picture of Mrs. Craven and Mrs. Flemming receiving this award at the Board of Education.  Thanks to all teachers, staff, parents, and students who help make our media center an outstanding place to work, read, and learn!
