Targeting Success!

A HUGE thank you goes out to our corporate sponsor, Target.  This year we received a $2,000 grant from Target to use for our Reading Safari program!  In thanks to these funds, we will be able to bring reading programs and visiting authors to our school for our students.  Stay tuned to this blog for more details!

A Cool Place for Hot Books!

Hats off to parents, students, and teachers for making our 2013 Fall Book Fair such a success!!  This year we sold over $6,500 worth of books.  About 20% of these proceeds will go towards upcoming media center activities such as AR parties, author visits, and Pajamboree night.  Thank you for supporting our LES readers both at home and at school!

Super Students Use the Super 3!

4th grade students at Liberty Elementary are learning how to use Super 3 research strategies as they investigate solutions to water conservation and pollution.  As a final activity, students will write a letter to a friend explaining why it is vital to conserve water.  Remember students, good researchers always Plan, Do, and Review!!
